Finally....
After years of waiting Counting Crows finally released a new album on Tuesday. Favorite band of all time, EVER...ever, ever, ever. So many Bay Area references, makes me kind of teary. Ahhhhh....memories.
Dublin to Berkeley...
I've made two of the many A-line skirts I've set off to make. The first (the putty colored linen skirt) is too big, but I suppose that might be okay for later on. The second is a super cute Robert Kaufman print that is a very light cotton, a pain in the ass to sew and wrinkles easily (another pain in the ass).
Here's my zipper (I altered this a bit too, putting in on the side as opposed to a back zip). Can I just tell you that I hate sewing zippers and they never turn out 100%.

How Many Weeks?
Until OT counted on the calendar today I only had a vague idea of many weeks I really was. I was a bit surprised. Part of me wants to scream out the weeks and take photos week by week, the other part of me watches way too much Dateline and doesn't think that's a good idea. The Dateline part wins on this one. I'm also not going to register for anything, once again because of some creepy ass story I saw on Dateline.
When googling how others look at this stage of pregnancy I came upon the most adorable picture, which I will share (I stole this pic from siamese-kittens.com, I'd feel bad if I didn't put that out there):
Pregnant siamese cats! Awwww! I wish I looked that cute.
Today I was rummaging around in our junk drawer for a pen and came across one we got a few years ago in Boston. It's from this place called Fajitas & 'Ritas, which is a pretty damn amazing place located right across from the Common. Let me just put this out there: I'm pretty damn pissed that we're not going back East this summer. It's just not very economical seeing as we will be going back shortly after this baby decides to join us (which brings up a whole other dilemma....we don't want to go when the baby is too new, we don't want to go in the winter...think of all the colds/flu and not to mention ice and snow....so that leaves early spring, which fits into my plans well because we can get a rental on the coast for cheaper...do we bring Emma and Teddy?). *Frustration* Oh, and you know when we go back it will be non-stop looking at real estate. I already look for jobs near Boston in my bi-weekly professional therapy magazine. Ugh! I could go on forever, but I feel the need to stop. But seriously, Fajitas & 'Ritas, check it out if you're in the neighborhood.
My blog is kind of horrible without interesting pictures. I'll take some soon, I promise. Here are some pictures of Cleo to hold you over. She's fascinated by all of our baby equipment:

I've been sewing with that damn Yael Naim song on repeat (and if you're lost with this statement read the post below). Lalalalalalalalaaaaaaalala...what a catchy song.
Anyway, I've come up with this:
A folded up skirt on the back of my super cute, but uncomfortable, chair. The hem is pretty straight, surprisingly. You would not believe how much looking at that material for a prolonged amount of time kills your eyes.
I would also like to share that my cat is in love with a bean bag. She's stopped hanging around me and just cuddles with the bean bag all day. I feel kind of neglected. We've tried selling the bean bag on Craigslist many times, but somehow Kiki and her super powers always ruin the deal.
What an exciting life I lead. Today I woke up late, got Starbucks, went to the fabric store, had lunch and now here I am. It's hot here in Arizona, and my skin is parched, just FYI. I'm off to sew!

If there was ever a time for a scream of frustration it would be now. Apple has done it again, poisoned my head with a song that I can't stop singing in my head and playing on my iPod.
After the constant new iPod Nano commercial and Feist, they have the MacBook Air and Yael Naim. Even OT is singing this shit.
Sorry to not have posted much, I've been trying to magically regrow half an eyebrow some inexperienced halfwit waxed off (that inexperienced halfwit being me).

All Grown Up!
A few months ago I posted a YouTube video my my sweet little cat Wemo (whom we found outside and bottle fed from day one). Someone recently left a comment and I went to read it and came upon a video of a baby Siamese kitty. The video kind of make me a bit teary because it reminds me of my sweet little baby boy, Wemo.
Here's the kitten video:
Ohhh, it does make me sad that's he's all grown up now.
What a handsome boy he is though:
If you're interested in my old video:
